Acclaim Mocap tools for
Maya, Cinema 4D and ToolBox

Load, edit and write asf/amc files

 
 

Mainly for feature film work, these toolsets allow you to create new animations or edit existing animation in the Acclaim ASF/AMC format, or convert bvh animations to Acclaim. Order and other information is preserved to make these Massive compatible. See 'Place an Order' page from main page to order. Special prices on sets of 12 seats.

All versions support removing asf dummy bones on load and recreating them on write. Dummy end bones are created in Maya to not lose info. They are discarded on write.

Acclaim.mll adds the following commands:
LoadASF
LoadBVH
LoadAMC
SaveASF -f filename (uses dialog if no -f filename given)
SaveAMC -f filename (uses dialog if no -f filename given)

LoadBVH - Imports a bvh file, creating a skeleton and loading the animation on it. Sets the default position of the skelton before loading the animation. Sets the current end frame. Sets the frames per second.

LoadASF - Imports an asf skeleton file. Puts 2 pieces of info in Joint Labeling/otherType - string for axis rotation order and dof order. Format- first 3 chars rotation order, space, dof sting. Ex xyz rz ry rx'. Also puts -1000 and +1000 in limits for infinity.
You can set these by hand and then generate any asf style skeleton.

LoadAMC - Imports AMC animation. The root bone of the skeleton must be selected before running this command. Sets the current end frame.

SaveASF - One param: -f filename. Writes the skeleton out to asf format.The root bone of the skeleton must be selected before running this command. +1000 and -1000 in limits are exported as inf and -inf. If Joint Labeling/otherType does not contain rotation and dof string, the default is 'xyz rx ry rz' or xyz tx ty tz rx ry rz' for root.

saveAMC - One param: -f filename. Writes the animation out to amc format. Uses the current end frame. The root bone of the skeleton must be selected before running this command.

Greenbriar Acclaim Tools adds the following commands:

Greenbriar Joint Info

Export AMC Animation - Selecting the Skeleton root null, or root bone, exports the animation to amc format up to current end frame (set end to zero to export a bind pose)

Export ASF Skeleton - Selecting the Skeleton root null, or root bone, exports the skeleton to asf format

Import AMC Animation - Selecting the Skeleton root null, or root bone, imports an amc animation

Import ASF Skeleton - Creates a new skeleton object from an asf file

Import BVH as ASF - Creates a new skeleton object from an asf file, adding default asf data to all joints with Joint Info tags

Import BVH to ASF - Loads the animation portion of a bvh file to an existing asf skeleton

Tag Skeleton - adds a Greenbriar Joint Info Tag with default values to each joint of a skeleton (like normal bvh) so it can be exported as asf/amc


The Joint Info Tag can also be added manually like any other tag.
